It’s already the time for Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2016 collection. The theme is all things 70s, as we regress back to our flare jeans and paisley blouses, with all retro color palettes. Add in billowy white peasant blouses and over the knee suede boots (look over-the-knee this winter too), and short shorts, and we’re borrowing fashion from our hippy parents and hoping to do them justice. After all, they wore it well.
The beauty and make up in the Spring and Summer of 2016 is going to focus on a natural look. We’ll see a lot of light colored lip glosses, especially in feminine pinks. Matted lip sticks will be seen less frequently, are out and the natural, subtle look is in. That’s not to say we won’t see some popping lipsticks, but the colors will definitely be conservative.
Foundation will be as close to skin tone as possible, giving the face a creamy, fresh and young look. We will see lots of light eye shadow colors, and lots of brown mascaras- as natural looking as it gets. The Spring will focus on natural everything, and we love the natural look. Cakey makeup and dark eyeshadows are out, and the fresh, clean look is in! Bright eye shadows are trending as well, but Dolce & Gabanna is focusing on browns and beiges.
Another thing we’ll see a lot of from Dolce & Gabanna is plenty of beautiful hair scarves. They’ll be wrapped around the hair, throughout the hair, over the hair and used as hair holders. Hair will be wispy and worn up, and if worn down the goal will be volume-less. We can’t have enough colorful scarves to highlight our natural skin colors and accent the 70s look.
If you’re one of those girls lucky enough to have thick eyebrows, this 2016 spring season will give you another chance to show them off! Thick (well groomed) eyebrows are back, and they are lovely and natural!
Dolce & Gabbana will focus on authenticity in the Spring/Summer of 2016. Lots of hair scarves, pulled looks, soft makeup with full eye brows and luscious, natural lips. The 70s are back, but more progressive- and we will all be gorgeous!
Minimalism is going to be the end result- and it’s all about finding the balance between classy and clean, and avoiding ‘dull’ at all costs. Can’t wait!
